The first step: focus on one thing

I am close to being 25 and It seems that finally I comprehend why things never turn out as I wanted: The key to success is to be focused on one thing. OK, The question is: Why this discoverment (that seems quite easy and obvious) has taken me so long? Since I have been a child my life has been completely sorted out. I went to the kinder garden, primary school, high school, university, post-university degree… At the end of the day, my life has followed a path and I felt comfortable as technically I was doing “the right thing”.

In Spain, things became tough when the crisis. The people started being worried and crazy about work. The truth is I didn't care as my world wasn't trembling at all. Honestly, my crisis has been more something internal and chronic as I never had economical problems. And maybe because I didn’t face serious problems, I created a chain of a stupid world of “worryness" for stupid things.

People used to say "life at uni is the best and one day you will realise it", and I have been realising it since I left uni. Maybe because I never find the happy path to what truly could make me happy. So the question is, what truly can make me happy? And the gold answer is, I don’t know. I think I will never know, as it depends on the moment in your life when your necessities change. “When you get what you want, but not what you need” So frequently we live in a world that continuously is giving us choices, opportunities, clothes, cars, traffic jams, cities, parks, restaurants, burgers, pizza, clubbing, friends and enemies, followers and those to follow, folders and subfolders, classification, order, belonging… At it seems that it's never enough. So many ideas, feelings or distractions that make difficult how to concentrate in one thing. But, this might be the key of success, or even for happiness. To set a goal and be focused to achieved it, not move forward until it's accomplished. First one thing, then another. It's very important to prioritize, to establish an order and set small goals, not a big one.

Be realistic, think the possible ways to arrive where you want to, and if you don't know where these footsteps are gonna take you, at least enjoy the journey.
